ICESCAPES: Photographs of Antarctica by Richard Ellis, Reception in honor of the artist, 7/10/08, 5 to 7 p.m. Richard Ellis, Ph.D., retired Professor of Psychology, traveled to the Antarctic on a photographic expedition in December 2002 aboard the Endeavor. He captured sculptural qualities of the icescapes and wildlife.

July 25th thru July 26th - Keystone Grange Fair
The Keystone Grange No. 2 Trappe, presents the Keystone Grange Annual Country Fair on Friday, July 25th from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 26th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Water Works Park in Trappe. “There will be good food, children’s activities, a Cattle Show, music and entertainment,” said Fair Co-Chair Lynne Cannon. Co-chair Jane Wismer’s announced, "Activities include crafts, educational and commercial exhibits, antique cars, trucks and tractors, pedal and garden tractor pulls, old-time crafts, farm machinery and farming demonstrations. The crowning of this year’s Fair Queen and other ceremonies will begin at at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26th. They will be preceded by a Horse Tread Power Demonstration and the 4-H Seeing-Eye Dog Demonstration. This year’s Fair Queen will be Erin Wismer, granddaughter of Fair Founder Charles E. Wismer, Jr. Entrance to the Fair is free. A $5 per car parking donation is requested. Collegeville-Trappe Waterworks Park, W. First Avenue, Trappe PA, the Fair Grounds are just off Main Street (Ridge Pike) in Trappe PA. From the intersection of Route 113 (3rd Avenue) and Main Street go South on Main Street to the first cross street which is 1st Avenue. Turn right on W. 1st Avenue. July 26th - The Speaker's House Event
Visit THE SPEAKER’S HOUSE for a pork barbeque fund raiser and open house! For $7, you will get a pork barbeque sandwich, chips, watermelon, a cold drink, and a good feeling from knowing you are helping a good cause: the continue restoration of The Speaker’s House, the home of Frederick Muhlenberg. The barbeque will be held on site from 11:30 am – 7 pm and the house will be open for tours from 11:30 am – 4 pm. As an added bonus, the Augustus Lutheran Church, the oldest Lutheran Church in continuous use in the United States, will be open for tours from noon – 3 pm. Lunch will also be for sale at the church. Music Explorers Camp at COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL is a two-week day camp program open to all instrumental and vocal students ages 7-18. This camp program includes music theory, ear-training, and music history. Students participate in their chosen music track which includes band, chamber music, musical theatre and piano duets. Kindermusik Adventures are mini-camps offered to young children and their parents/caregivers in a fun way to explore the world around them through music activities and play. August 12th - Community Music School Open House
Open House for Suzuki method of study for violin, viola, cello and bass on Tuesday, August 12 from 4-7 p.m. at the COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL (CMS) , 775 West Main Street in Trappe. The open house will include performances by young CMS students and an informal discussion of the Suzuki teaching philosophy by members of the Suzuki Academy faculty. At the Open House, meet instructors, get a close-up look at the instruments, and tour the facility. CMS Suzuki students will also give a short performance of some the standard Suzuki repertoire.
